
CHEERLEADING
LEVEL 1/2
Perfect for beginners and intermediate cheerleaders. You will learn and refine cheerleading skills such as stunting, jumps and dance, as well as learn a University chant.
Skills required: No experience for this team.
LEVEL 3/4
Ideal for the more experienced cheerleader, this level also combines stunting, jumps, dance and tumble.
Skills required:
Tumble: Standing back handsprings, standing or running tucks.
Stunting: Experience desirable (but not required)
TUMBLE
All cheerleading teams will participate in compulsory tumble training each week provided by experienced tumble coaches at Phoenix Cheer and Dance.
Partner or Group Stunts
1 minute routine which consists of 2-5 athletes showing off their stunting abilities. Private Tumble and/or Private Flyer Classes 30 or 60 Minute private lessons with one of our qualified coaches. Prices upon request.
DANCE
Jazz
A Jazz routine encompasses traditional or stylised hard-hitting, crisp and aggressive approach to movement, and can include movements of softness while complimenting musicality.
Skills Required:
Double Pirouette, multiple connected fouettes, grande jeté, splits

Pom
A dance that combines flexibility, strength and technical skills like jumps, leaps and turns with sensational upbeat high energy music.
Known for its sharp arm movements, high kick lines, and of course, the Pom Poms!
Skills Required:
Double Pirouette, multiple connected fouettes, grande jeté, eye level kicks
Dance Duos
Teams of two athletes will compete in 90 second routines. Dance duos are available in various styles including Hip hop, Jazz and Pom.
If you are interested in dance duos you must complete individual try outs, please speak to your dance coach for more information.
